In early July 2000, the European Academy of Engineering (EAE) hosted its annual summer workshop, focusing on the preparation of engineers for the environmental challenges of the 21st century. The workshop brought together engineering professionals, researchers, and educators to delve into the critical role of engineering in addressing environmental concerns.

During the workshop, participants engaged in discussions and practical sessions related to sustainable engineering practices, renewable energy solutions, and ecological urban planning. EAE emphasized the importance of nurturing a new generation of engineers who are not only technically proficient but also environmentally conscious.

The workshop aimed to bridge the gap between engineering education and real-world environmental challenges, providing attendees with the knowledge and tools to contribute to a greener and more sustainable future for Europe.
