Zhonglin Wang is a Chinese-American physicist, materials scientist and engineer specialized in nanotechnology, energy science and electronics. He received his PhD from Arizona State University in 1987.

He is the Hightower Chair in Materials Science and Engineering and Regents' Professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology, US.

In 2022, he was elected as member of the European Academy of Engineering.
 
The scientist’s investigation covers issues in Nanotechnology, Nanogenerator, Triboelectric effect, Optoelectronics and Nanowire.

His Nanotechnology research is multidisciplinary, relying on both Semiconductor and Energy storage.

The various areas that he examines in his Nanogenerator study include Mechanical energy, Electrostatic induction, Vibraion and Electronics.
